Desk Reading Hour
The Desk Reading Hour is for a stuck page. You sit with a tutor, open one shelf, and leave with the paragraph you could not parse written out in plain sentences.
Who the sitting is for
Readers who already have a path, or who are not ready to commission one. People preparing for a study circle often use the hour to preview the week’s shelf.
What you carry away
You leave with a one-page desk note: the term that blocked you, a short explanation in your own vocabulary, and the next page to read without help.
Where it happens
Geoje reading room. In-room only. One shelf per hour. The desk does not hold hours on Sunday or Monday.

- Sixty minutes with a tutor at the main desk
- The relevant library copy pulled before you arrive
- A one-page handwritten desk note you take home

- A full eight-week sequence
- Review of a large code repository
- Help signing or sending a transaction from your own wallet
The fee is for one hour on one shelf. A second hour on the same day is booked only if the desk is free, and it is charged again in full.
How the sitting runs

Name the shelf
When you write in, say which shelf and which term. Rent, program derived addresses, and recent blockhashes are common requests.

Arrive ten minutes early
The copy will be on the desk. Use the first minutes to mark the sentence that stalled you.

Read aloud
You explain the page as you understand it. The tutor interrupts only when a word is doing hidden work.
Before you come
Bring the page number or a printed excerpt. If the question is about a public transaction, bring the signature written on paper.
